Bachelor of Science in Criminology
This course provides review in the professional education subjects in Criminology, particularly in Law Enforcement Administration, Criminal Sociology, and Correctional Administration able to practice and demonstrate broad understanding in Law Enforcement, Public Safety, and the applicable laws. Demonstrate Management, Leadership and Decision-making skills in Industrial Security, Crime prevention, Law Enforcement and Public Safety. Internalize the concepts of human rights and victim welfare. Practice the conduct of criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, offenders, deviant and delinquent behavior. Demonstrate ethical values in the entire aspects and dimension in the practice of the criminology profession. Demonstrate the application of theories and research into fields of Law, Administration, Management, Leadership, and Operations of institutions in Public Safety, Criminal justice, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Human Rights and Victim Welfare. Practice the concept of human rights, PDL’s rights and victim welfare; Ensure offenders’ welfare & development for their re-integration to the community; Apply relevant laws in the Handling, Detention, Rehabilitation & Treatment of PDLs; and the Management and Operations of Institutional and Non-Institutional correctional facilities and programs.
CCA 2-CRIMINAL JURISPRUDENCE, FORENSIC, CRIME DETECTION AND INVESTIGATION[BSC-4B]
Bachelor of Science in Criminology
This course provides review in the professional education subjects in Criminology, particularly in Criminal Jurisprudence, Forensic and Crime Detection and Investigation able to provide a comprehensive understanding of Human Rights, Victim Welfare, and the Criminal Justice System, focusing on the practical application of forensic sciences and criminological research. Students will study Criminal Law, Evidence, and Criminal Procedure, while also conducting research on topics like Crime Investigation, Traffic Management, Fire Safety, Cybercrime, and Environmental Laws. The course equips students with the skills to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world criminal justice scenarios, including technical legal report writing.
CRIM. PRACTICUM 1-INTERNSHIP (OJT 1)[BSC-4A]
Bachelor of Science in Criminology
This course is intended to develop an understanding and exposure in the Psychology and Sociology of Crimes, Crime Detection and Investigation and Criminalistics, actual operation of a police station/department or a penal institution. Fire department and Security Agencies and such other agencies comprising the five pillars of the Criminal Justice System and the relationship between them and in conjunction with the academic program; off campus or practicum program in selected police agencies; actual field work, observation and practice of police tasks, activities or operation, including patrol, traffic, crime investigation, criminalistics, performed internships requiring observations in penal institutions, jail reformatories in DSWD, NBI, CHR, NAPOLCOM and such other agencies related to the course/program.
